Sonoro Eklipse iPod / CD sound system hits the FCC

Looks like a traffic "walk" sign with an Ipod on the top of it.
Exactly what I thought when I looked at your picture
what are the chances they would create a remote control dock for the storm.,none zero zilch,cuz its a has been.
Wtf engadget, why do you post all these millions of iPod docks?
I was wondering the same thing...
Every single dock, from every single company. Im thinking about photoshopping my own iPod dock just to see if I can make from page Engadget.*
* I will.
It may be because it is ridiculously expensive for what it is, but who knows.
Not 6 or 9 dollars. Not 69 dollars. 690 dollars. Como say what?!?
All I can think of when I see these high end iPod setups is if you care abuot the sound quality enough to spend $500 or even sometimes $1000's that these things cost, you probably shouldn't be using a freakin iPod. At the very least, get a player that supports better formats...
...Or just stick to the original media?
EXACTLY!!!!!!!
I agree with the last part, but most "audiophiles" (I use that term loosely), want a clear line-out signal, bypassing as much of the internal op-amps, capacitors, etc. as possible. Sadly, the ipod is the most common because the only other ones I can think of from the top of my head are the creative zen vision m, the iriver ihp-1XX, a few of the sony players, and the cowon X5. All of which are "obsolete" in the gadget world. Ya, I know a lot about this stuff. I regret it bitterly.
what's a cd?
I think it's that round thing with a hole in the middle that I use as coasters.
I sell one of these sonoro setups at work. they suck. why people buy this over pioneer, klipsche and other brands, I just don't know. then again, we haven't sold a single one.
Looks like a camera to me.
